Registered Jet Black Morgan Mare
Ideal Morgan Mare
Ideal Morgan Stallion

Compare these pictures of Eby with the beautiful paintings of the morgan breed standard. The resemblence is almost uncanny, even the same markings! The only difference is perhaps that Eby is blacker. In fact, all of these pictures of her have been enhanced. Eby is so black that it is hard to get any definition in a photograph. Below I put in one picture just to show how black she is without the enhancement.

Eby is a lovely example of the kind of quality we look for in selecting purebred mares of other breeds to create a magnificent cross with the Andalusian.

When I first saw Eby, she was 9 months pregnant, and still showed the lovely knee action along with an exceptional overstride that is coveted in Morgans, Andalusians, and of course dressage horses. She was also kind and gentle and allowed herself to be touched and handled all over without showing any irritation or touchiness, evidence of her wonderful gentle and sensible nature.

She carries her head high and proud with a neck that comes straight out of her withers (she actually was relaxing with her head down in these pictures). As you can see, she also has lovely rounded lines and a nice straight profile, much like the Andalusian. Her half Andalusian foals will be black and very baroque with unlimited dressage potential. Eby has been confirmed in foal to the magnificent black PRE Andalusian stallion, Feudal. This foal could be a real find for someone looking for a black baroque foal, that looks very Andalusian, at an affordable price. Oh, Bendicion is here, and he's so wonderful, he's not for sale!
